A Word About Narrow Grippers

The Narrow RB grippers are great for smaller handed individuals or for training your grippers "no set", the technique of picking the gripper up with your closing hand and not touching it at all with the off hand before closing it. The manufacturer's poundage rating on these grippers is assigned by spring type without regard to handle spread. In other words a RB210N is the same spring as the RB210, only with a narrow handle spread. It's been our experience that the narrow model is about 80-85% of the final closing pressure of the full width model. We use a multiplier to adjust the manufacturer's rating to fit the GSS Ranking scale.
